Current Professional Team
Family values are at the core of Wilco Construction. When the two brothers married the two sisters, and started a business building custom houses, a cohesive supportive environment naturally emerged. It is a culture that permeates the company.
The entire Wilco Team shares a common vision — to build the best possible home for their clients, and have some fun along the way!
Ian and Trevor Wilson
After emigrating to Canada, Brothers Ian & Trevor continued to expand on the construction experience they gained in the UK. For the past 30 years, they have been building quality homes in BC, primarily on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
Through constant professional upgrading, such as seminars sponsored by the Homeowner Protection Office , Built Green course certification and membership in the Canadian Home Builders Association they stay on top of changes to the industry and upgrades to Building Codes. Trevor served two years on the CHBA board of directors.
Ian & Trevor believe strongly in the work hard, play hard philosophy. Although very different personalities, they do share many of the same pursuits outside of the office, among them sailing, motorbikes and travel. Their journeys have taken them sailing around the Caribbean and trekking across the world on a motorcycle.Another obsession for both is home renovation. Clients benefit from the personal experience these two principals bring to their business as one or the other is almost always in the throes of a home improvement.
As Office Manager, Sharon is instrumental in the day to day workings of the business. Her background in accounting, along with her strong organizational skills and bubbly personality, keeps the office running smoothly.
In her personal life, Sharon shares her husband Ian’s enthusiasm for sailing vacations and weekend trips on their motorcycle. Days off will often find Sharon working on their latest home renovation! When not working at WILCO, she loves to spend time with their grandchildren.
Consulting on a variety of matters, Chental can be found working on many aspects of Wilco projects. Her flair for design, combined with her positive energy, bring an upbeat vitality to the business.
Chental shares many of her husband Trevor’s interests, particularly travel. The round-the-world trip they did on their motorbike inspired her to go on to write a recently published book exploring her journey to awareness. ChentalWilson.com
Karen’s is the cheerful voice and smile you encounter when you call or drop by the Wilco office. In addition to her reception duties, she assists Sharon and Chental in running the administration and accounting functions of the company. This busy position offers Karen the professional challenge she loves, but in her personal life she likes nothing more than spending time with family and friends, and puttering around her lovely property.
A self-professed design/architecture geek, Frank embraced the opportunity to move from Victoria to join Wilco Construction. He, along with his wife Tara, and two children were excited by the prospect of exploring all Salt Spring has to offer.
Frank’s background, from obtaining an undergraduate degree from Uvic and a diploma in Building Technology, to running his own successful company for 15 years has prepared him for his action-packed role supporting Ian and Trevor as Project Coordinator.
When not at work, Frank enjoys woodworking, gardening, cooking & travel.
